Ms. Tam focuses on intellectual property with an emphasis on patent litigation. She has worked on cases in various technological areas, with a focus on information technology and biotechnology patents. her practice also involves trademarks as well as business litigation and corporate matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Tam interned at Black Duck Software, Inc. where she analyzed its corporate patent portfolio and evaluated open source software licenses. At a Boston IP firm, Ms. Tam gained patent prosecution experience by drafting patent applications involving chemical and mechanical processes, digital circuitry and internet systems. She also clerked for the Honorable Justice Frank Stock in the High Court of Hong Kong, Court of Appeal. Before entering the practice of law, Ms. Tam worked at the University of California School of Los Angeles Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Tissue Array Core Facility as a Staff Research Associate.
